Combining my love of Stained Glass and Knitting in one ultra useful box! The lid of this stained glass box is designed to represent stockinette stitch, the first stitch every knitter learns. A lovely little box to store your stitch markers, measuring tape and other helpful odds and ends! 6 stitches...
The "yarn" is an ombre or self-striping blend of teal, turquoise blended with white and orange, and solid orange against an edge of white wispy glass. Two stitches of each color. The sides are clear bevels and the base is mirror. The metal lines and edges are left in their natural silvery state and polished to a warm silvery your table top. Constructed in the copper foil method, this box measures 3" x 4" x 1.5". The hinge is an invisible rod and tube. The lid is held in place with a bit of silver tone chain.
All of the edges have been smoothed and rounded... as is your knitting!
Stained glass from a knitter's hand...
Created individually and constructed in my home workshop. Please ask about other color combinations... anything is possible!
Combining my love of Stained Glass and fiber art, I present to you this stained glass storage vase. A great vessel to store your crafty things such as knitting needles, crochet hooks, weaving loom shuttles... even your reading glasses!
Created with a clear texture glass which has an organic wavy pattern. The stained glass ball of yarn is created using an ombre blend of sky blue turquoise, taupe, pale amber and white. An actual crochet hook is soldered right into the front of the box. The vase measures 4" wide by 3.5" deep and approx. 5.5" tall. I've added a square of felt to the bottom to protect the glass from breaking should something fall into it. The felt is removable. I work in the copper foil method of stained glass construction. The solder lines of this container are treated with a black patina and polished to a lovely glow. Rubber bump-ons are affixed to the base to keep the vase from sliding on your table top.

I joke a lot about combining my love of Stained Glass with Knitting, I present to you this stained glass storage vase. A great vessel to store your fiber related things such as knitting needles, crochet hooks, weaving loom shuttles... even your reading glasses!
Created with a clear texture glass called "bark" which resembles the bark of a tree and a yellow glass ball of yarn. The stained glass ball of yarn is created using a bright yellow tone glass. The vase measures 4.5" wide by 3" deep and approx. 5.5" tall. I've added a white rectangle of felt to the bottom to protect the glass from breaking should something fall into it. The felt is removable.
I work in the copper foil method of stained glass construction. The solder lines of this container are treated with copper patina and are polished to a lovely coppery glow. Rubber bump-ons are affixed to the base to keep the vase from sliding on your table top.

Are you a knitter... with a day job?
Dress up your desk with this wonderful stained glass business card holder designed to resemble a ball of yarn - natural amber ombre yarn no less! Shades of natural are my go to knitting colors.
As with my ball of yarn sun catchers and storage vases, an actual pair of vintage knitting needles are soldered right into your ball of yarn card holder, as if you can just take a break and knit a row! A great gift for Mother's Day or a birthday... or a knitter or fiber lover any day!
Built in the copper foil method of stained glass creation, this card holder is created with various shades of golden amber glass and clear texture krinkle glass as background. One strand of "yarn" wraps around the right side of the holder. The solder lines are treated with copper patina and polished to a shine.
As with any item in my shop, if you like the style but would prefer a different color combo, let me know and we can create one together!
Calling all purple lovers!
Show off your love of purple and knitting with this Stained Glass Yarn Ball Sun Catcher! Different shades of purple, grape and lavender glass combine with actual vintage metal knitting needles in this unusual sun catcher. Stained glass from a knitter's hand!
The yarn ball is constructed in the copper foil method of stained glass construction. The solder lines are treated with either a copper patina, a black patina, or left in their natural silvery state and polished to a shine. The metal needles are literally cut and soldered right into the piece. Needle color and size may vary. I've listed each currently available as a variation. The sun catcher measures about 4.5" x 11"... the yarn ball itself measures about 4.5" across. I would suggest hanging from a nail or hook rather than a suction cup as they tend to give way in the warm sunlight.
